It’s the Little Things with Olivari Olive Oil

The older I get, the older my boys get, the more I realize how important it is to celebrate the little things in life. We can all use a reminder to celebrate the little things that bring us joy. The smart people at Olivari Olive Oil are using their social media channels to launch new positive content every day, Olivari Olive Oil is encouraging us all to seek out and celebrate “The Little Things In Life” in their “The Year of Little” campaign. To Olivari, the little things are everything!

As a Latina, who married into a Louisiana Cajun / Creole family, it’s a given that our most treasured memories and the things that bring us the most joy, revolve around meals. Food is not just something that we need to survive, it brings family and friends together in an intimate way as we fellowship, build relationships and make memories. The love and joy shared over a meal is priceless.

Some of the little things I love…

  • Sunday afternoon meals with Troy’s parents.
  • Cooking in the kitchen with my mother as she passes down my grandmothers cherished Nicaraguan meals.
  • The joy of cooking and teaching my own boys in the kitchen.
  • Cooking and sharing an intimate meal alone with my husband.
  • Crawfish boils and cookouts with friends.
  • Tailgating at College football games.
  • Picnicking while we watch birds.

I think we can all agree that food brings people together! We remember and cherish special childhood food experiences. Aromas take us back to special places or events. Whether we are with family, friends or even strangers, the “breaking of bread” is a universal language!

It’s not just meal time but all the little things throughout our days… for me it’s bird watching and photography, sitting outside for a few minutes to breath and soak in the sun, or walk to the duck pond. So many little things to celebrate each and every day!

“The Year of Little” with Olivari

While my post is not about Olivari Olive Oil, I could not pass up the chance to share just a little about this olive oil. Have you heard of Olivari? I had not heard of it before partnering with them to share their “Year of The Little” campaign. I’m a bit of a foodie and love that they have 3 different kinds of olive oils for my baking and cooking pleasure. {It’s the little things}
