With four growing boys in the house, I’m always on the hunt for a quick, easy and hearty meal option for our busy days. A meal that is well balanced yet filling. On Taekwondo days I prefer a meal that I know will sustain them and hold them over for the three to four hours that they are at the gym. Hamburger Helper® fills this need with the perfect one pot meal, it’s the right amount of carbs and protein with ground meat, two cups of milk and cheese!
I have some cheese loving boys that happen to think Hamburger Helper® is delicious. It’s a win, win because I know it’s also nutritious. Something about food and Latino families, but Latina moms, and I’m sure all moms, feel a sense of satisfaction when filling our families tummies. Happy, healthy and satisfied boys make for a very satisfied mama.
It’s so simple to make I have passed the job onto my fourteen year old, who now makes it better than I can. He has experimented and created his own recipes with Hamburger Helper® as the base. Hamburger Helper® is a great starter for a number of meals, I will share one of those creations in my next post. 😉
