Cajun Corn Maze Homeschool Field Trip

Last week we visited Cajun Country Corn Maze for our homeschool filed trip with our group, Bayou Cajun Homeschoolers. It is always a bit dusty for my taste but there is no doubt that the children have a blast every year. The Maze at Cajun Country Corn provides good wholesome family oriented entertainment in a farm setting. They provide a fun place to learn about the food and fiber produced on the farms of Louisiana, while celebrating Cajun Heritage and Louisiana Culture.

This years maze….(which we did not go into)

Easter Weekend Highlights

We had a lovely Easter / Resurrection Sunday with family and friends. I was blessed with a special Easter / early Mother’s Day gift…. a new camera! Still learning how to use it, pics are not great but I hope to improve!

Here are a few highlights from our weekend….

 The boys playing on our property where we home church… {I did not make them pose, with arms around each other lol… so cute!}

Easter goodies given to the boys from “Mimi” Troys mom… including a coupon organizer and dark chocolates for me!!

I hope you all had a blessed Easter / Resurrection Sunday with your families!
I am so thankful that we can “Experience the Power of the Resurrection Every Day”!

Happy Birthday Chunky Monkey!

How does it go by so fast? He is 4, independent, smart, sweet and adorable! My baby Noah is 4 today. I remember writing this very long post on his 1st birthday and how agonizing it was for me to see him leave babydom so quickly.

Now he is four and understands more than he probably should. He thinks he is a Ninja and can save the world from the bad guys, he prays to Jesus all on his own and helps mama off the floor with a helping hand. (He really thinks he is lifting me up.)

He enjoys his chores and folds his towels and puts up dishes with a smile on his face. He loves to talk to “Luna” at night and he thinks she follows him everywhere he goes.

His partner in crime is our timber-wolf hybrid “Nala”; they are two peas in a pod. She licks him clean of icing and food and he offers her leftovers and sneaks her treats. His brothers kiss on him all day long and argue over who will sleep with him at night. We love this little stinker and he brightens each and every day in our home.

He could care less that today is his birthday, he is too excited about his very first trip to Walt Disney World! We will celebrate his birthday at the parks with a kick off dinner at Chef Mickey’s in less than two weeks!
